Good quality files of different size, form and grade is required

These are the different pliers we use. Snips and wise grips are common, the one on the left is a rivet cutter and the one at the bottom is a cleco plier

Working with metal, requires measuring and marking tools

Sometimes two hands is not enough. Different types of clamps are a must

Pneumatic tools for drilling and riveting

We'll be making thousands of holes. A bench drill press is required

A bending brake bends sheet metal fast and accurately

The clecos with its special plier is a sheet metal thing. The clecos are spring loaded sheet holders of different size inserted into a pilot or full size hole to keep parts temporary assembled

Drill bits of different size are used throughout the entire project. We mostly use three sizes, #40, #30 and #21. On the left of the picture is a dimpling tool we use with countersunk rivets

We'll need both our ears and eyes when we go flying. PPE is mandatory at the factory

Drillbits of various sizes made for plexiglass. Worked great for the canopy project. Got these from Ebay.

To build an aircraft you will need tools. This album shows the tools we use the most. Some of them are common, others are specialized. Depending on your type of project, the content of your toolbox will be different. The Sonex, being an all metal aircraft, will require a different tools inventory than, lets say a composite project.

All the Best
